Clints First Easter!!

Clint had a wonderful first Easter!! It was a beautiful day!! When we got up that morning, we both took Clint in there together to see what the Easter Bunny had brought him. He just stared at the basket and all the bright colors!! Jonathan cooked breakfast (like he does every Sunday morning), and then we got ready for Church!! We had a WONDERFUL service! The house was PACKED, just the way I like it!! I love to hear a full house singing for the Lord!! After church we headed over to Mackenzie and Darren Gaddis' house for lunch and an Easter egg hunt with the family and Clint's little cousins!! The food was d-LISH and the egg hunt was so much fun!! After that, we headed over to Mimi and Papa Homers house!! When we got there, Shane and Callie were there, and so was Mamaw and Maurice!! And it just so happened that the Easter bunny came there too!!! Easter was such a wonderful day, and we are so blessed to have such a wonderful family!!

The Easter Bunny brought lots of goodies!!

His card (with money!) from Grammy and Papaw!

The happy little family!

Proud Daddy!

The Easter Bunny came to Mimi and Papa Homers house too!!

WHAT??? Time is up already??

What?? Time is up already??? 12 weeks... gone?? Why is it that when one wants time to go by fast, it drags on, and when one wants time to creep by like a turtle, it flies like the bunny rabbit??? If you haven't figured it out yet, I am referring to my maternity leave...

I have absolutely cherished the time that I have gotten to spend with my little cowboy, and I think Clint has too; he definitely knows who his mommy is, and that just melts my heart!!!. Clint and I have learned so much about one another..what each cry means, which smile is which, his laughs, his coos, etc... He is the most precious little baby, and it breaks my heart that he is getting bigger. Although I want him to grow and be healthy, I also at the same time want him to stay like this.

Returning to work is probably one of the hardest things that I have ever had to do. I wish that we were made of money, so I wouldn't have to work, and I could spend day in and day out with my little man. But, were not.. so that is that..!My first day back was April 1, 2010. I had to be at work at 6am, so it did help that Clint was still asleep when I left; although I did reach over and kiss his little cheeks about 10 times before I left. I did cry on the way to work, but I just prayed that God would give me peace about it(and he has..). We were so busy that I didn't have time to dwell on it (and that was probably a good thing); although he was constantly the topic of my conversations!! What can I say?? I am a PROUD mommy!! My mom is keeping Clint while Jonathan and I work, and that is such a blessing! I know that Clint is WELL taken care of.

When I came home from work that first day, Clint was lying in the floor under his little gym playing. It was like he didn't even know I had been gone. I got down in the floor with him and talked to him; he just smiled at me and talked to me, and was so happy!! It is such a great feeling to come home to a happy baby.
